Chevy MyLink has a new safety feature on many 2017 editions that is designed to keep your teen driver out of harm’s way. It’s just another way that Chevy is keeping everyone protected. At Hare Chevy dealer Noblesville IN, you’ll find this feature on many models throughout our inventory. Just ask our staff to tell you more.
Automatic Feedback
To ensure that teens are doing their best behind the wheel, the new system offers automatic feedback. For instance, at preselected speeds, the car will warn the teen visually and audibly. To make sure that they are using safety devices, they can’t turn off special crash avoidance systems such as the Side Blind Zone Alert. The sound system will stay on mute until they put on their seatbelts. Parents can check the system to learn about their teen’s driving habits. Check our inventory for the latest deals.
Safety
Chevy’s emphasis on safety includes ten airbags in almost every car. GM also has an exclusive front-center airbag in the Tahoe and Suburban. Crash avoidance systems are offered on many models. This includes passive systems that warn the driver about lane departures or front collision dangers, but it may also include active systems such as high speed and low speed autobrake capability. Chevy’s OnStar system lets you add automatic 911 notification, summoning help for your teen should an accident occur. In addition, there’s a standard five-year road assistance plan that gives your teen access to help should there be a flat tire or other roadside emergency.
